#1 fan thats what my daughter (age 5) calls herself. She has a letter ready to send hoping you'll stay.... too late for that. You are well loved in our family. Manny being Manny is all well and good and I love it but,... you are a true professional and one of the greatest players of all time. We will miss you Manny and all your antics! I will never forget meeting Manny outside the Yankee Stadium 2years ago. His was the first car to leave the stadium (duh!)and we got a chance to see him in all his glory---BIG SMILE, BIG ARMS, and just a sight to behold. What a memory!

I felt like the Yankees picked up a player yesterday. I am so happy Manny is gone from Boston out of respect to the best hitter I ever seen. Thank Theo and the rest of you for making my day. Yes I hate the sox but I am a huge Manny fan and I will love to have that cancer in the Bronx.

While the Sox made a very odd deal in giving up 3 players just for Jason Bay, it shows just how much of a distraction and clubhouse cancer Manny had become that they would make this lopsided deal, and also pay the bulk of his remaining salary this season. Granted, Manny has been one of the best hitters the game has seen in the last dozen years or so, but he will be more remembered for being the ultimate me-first player of any generation. Manny has gone out of his way recently to alienate himself.....
